Findern is a relatively small village approximately 7 miles S.W. of Derby City Centre. SEE WHERE WE ARE BELOW.

The village is made up of around 740 homes, 1 primary school, a village post office, a village store, one public house, a garage, 2 gardening center's, a village hall, 2 hairdressers, a nursery, 2 playing fields, an allotment, a number of equestrian centers, a residential home and loads of village groups for all ages!

Our Parish Council meets once a month, generally at 7.30pm on the 2nd  Thursday of each month; everyone is welcome. We also have various sub-committees for Footpaths, Finance, Recreation, Parish Rooms, Planning and Safety. In addition we have the Brighter Findern Group,  the Historical Society, the W.I. and numerous others.

We have a bi-monthly magazine which is intended to keep everyone up-to-date as well as providing articles of interest and competitions for the younger readers.
